Autofill is a feature used in several browsers to help prevent you from filling out fields over and over again. This can sometimes cause an issue while using your Flow site due to autofill filling out unintended fields and accidentally saving them over existing information. This has been known to occur for countersignature fields and passwords. Follow the steps below according to your OS and browser to disable this feature.
Windows computers
Chrome
Chrome's autofill feature can be disabled by following the steps below.
- Open Chrome.
- Click the Chrome menu icon (three dots) at the top right of the browser toolbar.
- Select Settings.
- Search "autofill."
Note: You can also click Autofill and passwords in the side menu. - Click each section to toggle off autofill for passwords, payment methods, addresses, and phone numbers.
You can also disable third-party extensions, such as LastPass, that can continue to auto-complete information even after the above has been disabled.
- Click Extensions (puzzle piece icon) at the top right of the browser toolbar.
- Click Manage extensions.
- Toggle off any extensions that enable autofill.
Edge
Microsoft Edge's autofill feature can be disabled by following the steps below.
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click Settings (gear icon) at the bottom right of the side menu.
- Search "autofill."
- Click Personal info and toggle off autofill settings.
- When done, click the back arrow.
- Click Passwords and toggle off autofill settings.
You can also disable third-party extensions, such as LastPass, that can continue to auto-complete information even after the above has been disabled.
- Click the Edge menu icon (three dots) at the top right of the browser toolbar.
- Click Extensions.
- Click Manage extensions.
- Toggle off any extensions that enable autofill.
Firefox
Firefox's autofill feature can be disabled by following the steps below.
- Open Firefox.
- Click the Firefox menu icon (three lines) at the top right of the browser toolbar.
- Click Settings.
- Search "autofill."
- Toggle off all autofill settings.
You can also disable third-party extensions, such as LastPass, that can continue to auto-complete information even after the above has been disabled.
- Click Extensions (puzzle piece icon) at the top right of the browser toolbar.
- Toggle off any extensions that enable autofill.
macOS computers
Safari
The AutoFill feature in the Apple Safari browser causes the browser to "remember" the text and values you enter into forms online. Having your forms auto-completed can be handy to speed up your work online. However, if other people use your computer or you are entering sensitive information into the forms, you may not want this feature on.
To disable this feature in Safari:
- Open Safari.
- Click Safari in the top menu bar and select Settings.
- Click AutoFill.
- Click each of the checkboxes next to the autofill options to deselect them.

Chrome for macOS

- Tap Safari.
- Tap AutoFill.
- Toggle off Use Contact Info and Credit Cards.
Disabling AutoFill for stored passwords in Safari on iPhone and iPad
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Passwords.
- Tap Password Options.
- Toggle off AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys.
Android (phones and tablets)
Disabling autofill in Chrome on Android devices
- Tap the Chrome menu icon (three dots).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Save passwords.
- Toggle off Save passwords.
Removing stored passwords in Chrome on an Android device
Go to https://passwords.google.com to manage your passwords.
